Founded in 1996 by Tim Potts, Smart Remote Support has been proudly serving Cheltenham and the wider Gloucestershire community for over 28 years. Tim’s vision was to create a customer-focused IT services company that combined technical excellence with a personal touch—treating every client as a trusted partner rather than just another ticket. Over the years, our team has grown but the core values remain unchanged: transparent communication, swift problem resolution, and unwavering dedication to local businesses and homeowners. Tim overseas the sales and sales processes making sure our customers are getting the best value.

In his spare time Tim likes spending time with his young family and experimenting with renewable energy projects.

William Rendell

Managing Director

IP addresses, networks, subnets and VPNs is what Will likes to get stuck into!

In his spare time, he is always supporting his children in their various sporting activities. He also enjoys training his Golden Retriever puppy called Wally.

Clayton Coleman

Operations Director

Keeping his ears open at all times Clayton is the glue that holds us all together.

When he is not at work, Clayton enjoys playing with tech at home and is in the process of building a fully automated home.

Marie Fulker

Office Manager

Marie Ensures that all the contracts and logistical needs of the business are taken care of.

In her spare time she loves spending as much time away as possible with her husband in their Caravan, exploring the country.

Dean Newman

Head of Helpdesk

With an eye for detail, Dean can quickly drill down and discover the fault fast!

When Dean is not running the helpdesk, he enjoys walks with his wife. Keeping fit and DIY.

Kai Cruickshank

Onsite Engineer

Kai is the onsite master and can pinpoint issues on site fast, ensuring your business keeps running. As well as providing proactive onsite support.

In his spare time Kai likes to play football, watch the occasional box set and generally relaxing with a bit of X-Box play.
